My name is Melanie.
I am a fully Qualified Hairdresser and Beauty Therapist with a wealth of over 30 years of Salon based experience in the Industry.
My Path into Hairdressing began in the ’80s. I completed a 3 Year Indentured Apprenticeship and worked as a Stylist at Mario Edmunds Hair Salon in Dartford Kent. My Passion for the Industry began there, with Inspiration from Vidal Sassoon. During that period of my working life I became involved and participated in Hair Shows and Competitions in London. One I remember, was in a small hall in Shorne.
My claim to fame came when I came 3rd in an Apprentice Cut and Style Competition in London. I received a Scissor Set and had my Photo taken for the local Newshopper Paper. I then went on to complete an Advanced Cutting Course at Vidal Sassoon Hair Academy in London.
After five years of working in the Salon I left and opened my own Salon in Belvedere called He & She unisex Hairdressers. Over the duration of twenty years there I became involved in training young people. I completed a course and gained a further Adult Teaching Qualification City & Guilds.

I also expanded my Skills and completed Beauty Therapy, Nail and Massage courses to gain NVQ level 2. Beauty Therapy IIHHT Body Massage Acrylic / Gel Nail Diploma
After twenty years of owning my own Salon I decided that it was the right time to sell.
I sold my Salon in 2005 and worked as a Top Stylist in Cutting Remarks Hair Salon on Orpington Highstreet , where I remained up until 2018. Having left the Salon, I now work from Home.
I offer a flexible Appointment System. I now offer a personal service to clients for Hairdressing & Beauty/Nails, Massage Appointments available in my Private Studio in Higham Kent. or Mobile Hairdressing Appointments available in the comfort of your own Home, for all of the Family.
